SAN ANTONIO -- Call them the perfect 10. <P> They would certainly be a picture perfect ending to Tennessee's 2005 recruiting season. Who are they? None other than 10 U.S. Army All Americans consisting of prospects UT has committed or would like to commit. They include: Jonathan Crompton, Josh McNeil, Demetrice Morley, Rico McCoy, Raymond Henderson, Adam Meyers-White, Patrick Turner, Michael Oher, Toney Baker and Dace Richardson.

They were assembled for a potential cover shot for Rocky Top News magazine's annual recruiting issue. This humble scribe was trying to essentially get what would be a dream team together. Just in case. When the call went out during Friday's Scout.com Media Day combine for players pledged to the Vols or seriously considering them, they quickly came to midfield of the Alamodome.

The thing that was surprising is how there was no arm-twisting or nagging needed to pull this group of all-stars into the type of tight formation required to accommodate the frame of a camera lense. They immediately adopted an impromptu pose. When told if they fell into place like that on national signing day the Vols would have the No. 1 class in America, all the participants displayed the requiste index digit and flashed million dollar smiles.

Was this just happenstance or was it a case of catching orange lightning in a bottle? That's a question that will soon be answered. What can be said for certain is that the nation's No.1 safety Kenneth Phillips, of Coral City High School in Miami, expressed regrets that he hadn't heard the call for Volunteers.

Word around the hot stove is the Vols are well on their way to being No. 1, ahead of USC.
