Vols have some edges

It isn't often that Tennessee has the odds in its favor this basketball season, but Saturday's game at Auburn shapes up as one of those times.

First, the Vols are 3-3 in SEC play, compared to Auburn's 0-5. Secondly, Tennessee boasts significantly more height. The Big Orange starts 6-10 Major Wingate, 6-7 Andre Patterson, 6-5 Scooter McFadgon, 6-2 Chris Lofton and 6-2 C.J. Watson. The Tigers, meanwhile, start a lineup of 6-6 Quinnel Brown, 6-3, Frank Tolbert, 6-3 Ian Young, 6-3 Nathan Wilson and 6-1 Toney Douglas.

Here's another factor: Although Auburn is playing at home, Tennessee has won the last two meetings at Beard-Eaves Coliseum.

Though only a freshman, Douglas leads the Tigers in scoring at 18.6 points per game. Young contributes 15.5 points per game, while Brown averages 13.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. Wilson chips in 10.7 points and 6.0 rebounds.

Saturday's game has a 6 p.m. EST tip-off and will be televised by the Fox Sports Network and the Sunshine Network.
