Senior captain Scooter McFadgon, who missed Tennessee's 60-58 loss to Ole
Miss last Saturday due to a knee injury, does not have any torn ligaments or
cartilage. He is listed ''day to day'' and might be available for Wednesday
night's home game with South Carolina.
''The MRI showed no damage in the knee,'' head coach Buzz Peterson said
earlier today. ''Basically, he had a bruise to the patella. It's been pretty
sore, had some swelling in it.''
Brandon Crump, who missed four games recently with a sprained ankle,
sprained the other ankle in the Ole Miss game, Peterson said. Crump was
outscored 21-8 by Rebel post man Tommie Eddie and, in Peterson's words
''didn't look like he had much lift or anything during the Ole Miss game.''
The Vol coach hopes to have both McFadgon and Crump back near 100 percent
for the South Carolina game.
