Hochevar thre w a four-hit, complete-game shutout as Tennessee avenged two losses to the Seahawks in last season's NCAA tournament.

The victory over UNC Wilmington marked Hochevar's 12th career win at UT and his fourth complete game. In addition to striking out six batters and issuing no walks, he also chipped in with a putout and two assists. His control and stamina were never in question during the outing, as he was still being clocked at 90-92 mph in the ninth inning.

A preseason first-team All-America selection, Hochevar boasts a 2-1 record this season and a miniscule 0.43 ERA in 21 innings of action. He was named to the 2005 Roger Clemens Award Watch List earlier this month. The award is presented annually to the top pitcher in college baseball.

Hochevar and the Vols (7-3) return to the diamond Friday at 3 p.m., when they host Morehead State for the first contest of a three-game series at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
