The Tennessee Vols vs The UAB Blazers
Pre-game analysis

Vols
OFFENSE
Blazers
OLCOMMENTSOL
The Blazers have 5 Seniors on their OL, including 2 All-Americans. On the other hand, the Vols are filling 3 vacancies left by 2004 graduations.
QB'sCOMMENTSQB's
Even with a QB contraversy, the Vols easily win this category. Rick Clausen proved he is one of the leagues elite with a gutsy performance in the last 5 ballgames of 2004. Erik Ainge, even at less than 100%, is more than a match for UAB and ready to lead the Vols in a charge on Pasadena.
RB'sCOMMENTSRB's
The Vols take this Category too. FB Cory Anderson is an Abrahams Battle tank with hands and TB Gerald Riggs is ready to stake his claim to the Orange crown. He's just shifty and nifty enough to become UT's top single season rusher.
WR'sCOMMENTSWR's
Big, strong, NFL caliber receivers like Robert Meachem and Jayson Swain, hardly veterans but among the most tenured in Orange, will lead an exceptional class on talented WR's into Neyland. This receiving corps could be the best to grace Wide-receiver-U in more than a decade and certainly among the tops in the nation.

Vols CONCLUSIONS Blazers
INTANGIBLES
The Vols have home field advantage, the best fans and a better team in their favor. On the other hand, UAB wants a win, especially over an elite team. They have nothing to lose and could deliver an early blow hoping to stun the Vols.
PREDICTION
The Vols are a good team. They will take care of business against the overmatched Blazers. A 12:30 start will make conditioning and depth a large part of the equation. Tennessee will use this to roll to a 38-10 victory over yet another team from Alabama.
