Ole Miss game is on JP

The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that Tennessee's Oct. 1 matchup against Mississippi is being televised by Jefferson Pilot Sports and kicks off at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time. The game marks UT's second JP appearance of 2005.

Tennessee leads the series by a 42-18-1 margin and is 23-5 in Knoxville. The Vols have won their last five home meetings against Ole Miss and last lost to the Rebels at Neyland Stadium in 1983. A year ago, Tennessee rallied for a 21-17 triumph in Oxford.

Other SEC teams involved in televised games that day feature Florida at Alabama on CBS (2:30 p.m. Central) and South Carolina at Auburn on ESPN2 (6 p.m. Central).
