DLCOMMENTSDL

Georgia defensive end Quentin Moses (4 sacks this season, 6.5 last season) might be the SEC's most underrated player. End Will Thompson (10.5 career sacks) got a sixth year of eligibility. Tackles Gerald Anderson and Kedric Golston are very good.

Tennessee leads the SEC and is fourth in the nation in run defense (67.2 yards). Parys Haralson leads the SEC in sacks (11) since the start of the 2004 season. Jesse Mahelona and Justin Harrell have been the league's top two tackle tandem this season. Vols have great depth along the line.

LB'sCOMMENTSLB's

Georgia has a strong unit, led by Tony Taylor. Tennessee has a stronger unit, led by Kevin Simon, Omar Gaither, Jason Mitchell.

DB'sCOMMENTSDB's

Georgia has more interceptions this season (eight) than it had all of last season (five). Greg Blue is a vicious hitter. Tim Jennings is the best cover guy. UT has made huge strides this season, allowing just one touchdown pass and improving from 76 in the nation in 2004 to 43 in pass-defense efficiency.

S. TeamsCOMMENTSS. Teams

Georgia has blocked 20 kicks (10 punts, eight field goals, two extra points) in the Mark Richt Era and has scored seven touchdowns and a safety on special teams. Georgia is third in the SEC in punt returns, last in kickoff returns. The best thing about UT's special teams: James Wilhoit's kickoffs into the end zone.

Vols

Bulldogs
INTANGIBLES

The Vols seem to play their best when you least expect it, but they haven't beaten a top 10 team at home since 1999 (Georgia). Richt is 2-0 in Neyland Stadium and his team remembers last year's upset loss at home.

PREDICTION

Georgia 17-16.
