"My top 5 would probably be LSU, Virginia Tech, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. I don't have a favorite right now," Kelvin Sheppard said.
What stands out about those programs?
LSU: "My recruiting coordinator is also my position coach so that's a big advantage. He said I could play early and I also like the atmosphere in Baton Rouge:
Virginia Tech: "They're doing very well this year and I love how they use their linebackers in their defense."
Georgia: "That was one of my favorites early on. It's only like an hour away and Coach Jancek is a very cool guy. He thinks I can come in and compete also."
Tennessee: "Coach Trooper Taylor is a cool guy and I like him. The atmosphere down there and the atmosphere inside Neyland Stadium is supposed to be really good."
Florida: "As a child growing up that was one of my favorite teams and now they started recruiting me and that gets you excited. Got to keep them in the mix."
The Tigers and the Vols seem to have the most heat on him at this time.
"It's between LSU and Tennessee for calling me the most. I've gotten calls from all of my favorites though."
Kelvin hasn't been anywhere since he watched the Dawgs take out the Gamecocks earlier this season.
"The latest game I went to was the Georgia/South Carolina game. It was exciting down there. Me and Jermaine (Cunningham) went down there and had a good time."
