Jim Barrie is a big offensive lineman from the state of Florida that went to Tennessee over the weekend for a visit. He liked what he saw in Knoxville.
"I went to Tennessee with my parents this weekend," said Barrie.
"We flew in Saturday morning, and one of the graduate assistants picked us
up and took us to the stadium. We got to talk to Coach Stephens and Coach
Sanders real quick. Then we met with the academic advisors."
"After that we went through the Vol Walk, and that was awesome. I had a
great time even though they lost. Man, the crowd was awesome. Josh McNeil was my
host, and he showed me around own after the game."
"The next morning we met with more academic advisors and then went to Coach
Fulmer's house for brunch. We talked one on one for a while. he told me they
really wanted me there. We didn't really talk much football. My dad really liked
Coach Fulmer's Harley," Barrie added with a laugh.
Barrie has three more official visits scheduled. Where does he currently stand?
"I had a great time at Tennessee; both of my parents were really impressed.
I'm going to Notre Dame this weekend for an official visit. I'm also scheduled
to go to Michigan (11-18) and Florida State (12-9). I'm leaving my last visit
"Michigan and Florida State have been my Co-Leaders for the most part, but
you can add Tennessee to that list. They're very much in the thick of it."
