Pete Fiutak of collegefootballnews.com doesn't take himself too seriously. That's why he's one of my favorite sports writers and that's why I enjoy his "Calvacade of Whimsy" columns so much.
His latest irreverent effort for the popular football website includes Christmas wishes for all 117 NCAA Div. 1 football programs. Here's a sampling that features his wishes for the 12 Southeastern Conference programs:
Alabama: An offensive touchdown on a regular basis.
Arkansas: Overhyped prep QB Mitch Mustain with a bow on top.
Auburn: To keep playing like a team disrespected and not get caught up in the soon-to-come preseason 2006 hype.
Florida: Tim Tebow to be half as decent as his hype.
Georgia: A rematch with Florida with D.J. Shockley at quarterback.
Kentucky: Guy Morriss.
LSU: To hold on to defensive coordintor Bo Pelini for one more year.
Ole Miss: Coach O to have three players that could've played for him at USC.
Mississippi State: More than one touchdown per game against non-Ole Miss SEC teams.
South Carolina: An eligible running back to start the season.
Tennessee: A pass play of more than seven yards.
Vanderbilt: Another field goal attempt against MTSU.
