Haislip goes early in draft

After weeks and weeks of speculation about the draft position of Tennessee forward Marcus Haislip, few ended up guessing correctly.

Haislip appeared to have his draft stock sliding at a freefall over the last two weeks, but was picked earlier than what many people had initially thought.

Haislip was selected in the 13th position of the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks. Haislip should benefit early from established guard Ray Allen.

Forward Vincent Yarbrough didn't hear his name called as soon, but after the first round concluded he wasn't on the couch long. Yarbrough was the 33rd pick overall and fourth pick in the second round.

So ends a draft drought for the Vols that has stood since Steve Hamer was taken by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 1996 draft.
