"Every year we receive tickets back from some of our visiting opponent allotments. We hope that by making these tickets available to our fans in the summer, our fans will have more opportunities to make their football plans," said Mike Hamilton, men's athletic director.
The athletic department will also put a very limited number of single seat, non renewable season tickets on sale for the 2006 season on July 24. These tickets will be sold for $296 and will only be available for purchase at the Thompson-Boling Arena ticket office.
Through Monday, August 21, the Tennessee Athletics Department will also have a booth set-up in West Town Mall by the duck pond to educate fans about how to get tickets to Tennessee's various sporting events.
"Tennessee has a great fan base, but unfortunately many fans are not aware of how to get tickets to the various sporting events on campus. We believe this will be an opportunity for fans to find out how to get season tickets for all of our sports," said John Currie, senior associate athletic director for external operations.
