Five post-grad scholarships

Five former UT student-athletes -- Will Curtiss, a 1998-2001 baseball player, Jake Finlayson, UT tight end from 2001-04, Tim Nguyen, track shot put and hammer thrower from 2004-05, Will Overstreet, UT defensive end from 1998-2001 and Chris Robinson, a 2002-04 golfer -- were awarded post-graduate endowment scholarships to further pursue their education

Curtiss, a former Vol pitcher, received the Herman Hickman Memorial Scholarship, which will be used towards his final year of the MBA program.

Finlayson, who was Academic All-SEC in 2004, graduated with a degree in civil engineering and will be pursuing a master's in civil engineering this fall. He is the recipient of the Gary Frank Wallace Scholarship.

Psychology graduate, Nguyen, will be enrolling in the sports psychology program in the fall. He was awarded the Tony Wilson Memorial Scholarship.

Overstreet, who was a third-round pick in the 2002 NFL draft, will be finishing his final year of the MBA program and is the recipient of the Gus and Margaret Manning Scholarship. Overstreet graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics through the Renewing Academic Commitment (RAC) program in 2005.

While at UT, Robinson majored in classics and in the fall he will be attending UT law school. Robinson currently is attending officer candidate school for the U.S. Marine Corps this summer. Robinson is the recipient of the David C. Allen Scholarship.
