Three University of Tennessee football players were arrested in the wee hours this morning and subsequently taken to the Knox County Detention Center, according to a Knoxville television station.
WBIR-TV reports that tailback Arian Foster
, fullback David Holbert
and safety Antonio Wardlow
have been charged with disorderly conduct and under-age consumption of alcohol, according to Knoxville police. Reportedly, Wardlow also faces a charge of public intoxication.
The arrests occurred at Goodfellas Pizza at around 3 a.m., roughly 7½ hours after the Vols concluded a 28-24 loss to LSU.
Foster led Tennessee with 44 rushing yards vs, the Tigers. He was a second-team All-SEC pick in preseason but has been slowed by ankle injuries this fall. Holbert is UT's backup fullback. Wardlow started Game 8 at South Carolina due to the suspension of Demetrice Morley.
