Ashley Robinson OK after surgery

Lady Vol basketball player Ashley Robinson underwent surgery to clean out some scar tissue in her left knee this week but should be available when Tennessee opens the 2002-03 seaosn Nov. 10 against visiting Oklahoma.

Robinson, a 6-foot-5 post player, tore her ACL just over a year ago and struggled through a disappointing season in 2001-02. She started six games and played in 26 but averaged just 4.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per game.

Robinson was rated the top post prospect in high school basketball as a senior at Grand Prairie, Texas. Her healthy return looms as a key for the 2002-03 Lady Vols, who are looking for a replacement for 6-foot-5 Michelle Snow.
