The Vols learned on Monday that they would have to lineup against the University of Wyoming without their superstar wideout Kelley Washington because of a sprained knee.
Washington is listed as week-to-week by trainer Keith Clements. He will not practice all week and will not dress on Saturday. Washington sustained the injury when he tried to avoid running into Rashad Baker
a few weeks ago. The injury is one that Washington has been trying to heal, but it has not gotten any better. "We are very upset that Kelley can't go, but we have lost big-time guys in the past," Coach Fulmer said. "Jamal Lewis
and Donte Stallworth are two of the most recent that have had injuries and guys have always stepped up."
The Vols worked their receivers very hard on Monday now preparing to be without Washington. Montrell Jones and Leonard Scott appear to be the top two wideouts that will start on Saturday. Jones and Scott are the two players that have shown the most improvement over the summer.
*Tennessee moved up to No. 4 in the Coaches poll on Monday, jumping past Florida State. FSU had a rough outing on Saturday against the Iowa State Cyclones.
*There are still tickets remaining for Tennessee's first two football games(Wyoming and MTSU). Those can be purchased by calling the UT ticket office or ticketmaster.
