Tuesday Afternoon Practice

Due to injury, the Vols will have to look to true freshmen for help on Saturday. Johnathan Wade should be one of the first frosh off the bench.

Jonathan Wade is wearing a green jersey and attempting to heal his sore ankle. Wade has not been that limited, but it is obvious that he is still a little tender. Wade continues to catch the ball very well and his speed has been documented enough to know that he could be a star in the making.

Tennessee is not as healthy as the coaches would hope as the 1st draws near. It now appears that Kelley Washington, Chavis Smith and Steven Marsh will all be unavailable to the Vols when they line up against Wyoming. Marsh could possibly play, but he has been very limited in practice this week.

Cedric Houston is listed as the starting tailback, but according to Coach Fulmer, "they(the four tailbacks)will all play. The guy that gets the most carries may not be the one that runs onto the field first." Houston and Jabari Davis look to see the bulk of the load, but Keldrick Williams, Derrick Tinsley, Gerald Riggs and Troy Fleming should see carries if the game goes into Tennessee's favor as far as the scoreboard goes.

It appears that Montrell Jones, Leonard Scott and Tony Brown have risen to the top three spots with Kelley Washington out. The coaches will try to get as many players in on Saturday as possible and still win the game. "There are a lot of guys that we are ready to see in game action and see how they will react," Coach Fulmer said. C.J. Fayton, Tinsley and Rashad Baker may be three names to watch if they split out wide on Saturday.

The Vols will wrap up the rest of their week like this; They will practice on Wednesday, Thursday and a light workout on Friday. On Saturday they will travel by bus to Titan Stadium. At approximately 4:36 cst, it will once again be Football Time in Tennessee.
