Thursday Practice Report

Tennessee received news on Thursday that freshman Antwan Stewart is cleared to play for the Vols. Coach Fulmer is relieved that this process is finally completed.

Coach Fulmer was happy to have Stewart eligible. "Antwan gives us another guy at corner. He will be out here Monday and give us another option in the nickel and dime packages." Stewart may be looking at a redshirt year unless he can pick up the defensive schemes quickly.

In practice, the Vols dressed out in helmets and shorts with no shoulder pads. The team seemed very focused as a whole. Offensive and defensive team drills were very crisp. "We have had two very good days of practice and are very anxious to see what all of these young guys can do on Saturday," Coach Fulmer said.
