Wednesday Afternoon Practice Report

The Vols once again fought the heat on Wednesday afternoon. Tennessee is preparing for an MTSU squad that will come to Knoxville poised to knock off the No. 4 ranked Volunteers.

The Vols had a very sharp practice again on Wednesday. "I am very proud of the guys," Coach Fulmer said. "They have had to battle the heat all of this week and that is tough when you are coming off of a rough, first game."

Quarterback C.J. Leak continues to improve his stance as Tennessee's No.2 quarterback. " C.J. is looking very good," Fulmer said. " He just needs to hurry it up. He just needs to make decisions faster, but we were very pleased with C.J's on Saturday."

The Vols learned that Steven Marsh, Leonard Scott and Jonathan Wade will all be available for Saturday's game. Wade is still battling a sore shoulder. Scott is healing his sprained ankle. Marsh has also had problems with his ankle, but should see playing time against the Blue Raiders. Scott and Wade will be questionable up until gametime.

Kelley Washington is being looked at as a game-time decision. Washington has not practiced in two weeks, but may try and play. Fulmer said that would definitly be a last-hour decision.
