Lofton is 3rd-team All-American

The honors continue for Tennessee guard Chris Lofton. The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced earlier today that Lofton has been chosen a third-team All-America selection.

A native of Maysville, Ky., Chris Lofton leads the Southeastern Conference with 20.6 points per game. He recently was named the conference's player of the year by the Associated Press and was tabbed first-team All-SEC by league coaches.

The NABC's first-team All-America squad consists of 6-9 freshman Kevin Durant (Texas), 6-6 Alando Tucker (Wisconsin), 6-3 Acie Law IV (Texas A&M), 6-5 Aaron Afflalo (UCLA) and 6-9 Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina).

The second-team A-A squad is: 6-11 Nick Fazekas (Nevada-Reno), 7-0 freshman Greg Oden (Ohio State), 6-11 Joakim Noah (Florida), 6-7 Jared Dudley (Boston College) and 6-10 Al Horford (Florida).

The third-team picks are: 7-0 Aaron Gray (Pittsburgh), 6-9 Jeff Green (Georgetown), 6-0 Sean Singletary (Virginia), Lofton and 6-8 Julian Wright (Kansas).
