Tuesday Afternoon Practice Report

The Vols were back in action on Tuesday as they continued to prepare for the Crimson Tide. This game's outcome will mark a direction for each team for the remainder of the season and Tennessee players aren't taking that lightly.

Coaches have been lucky this week to have the majority of injured players back on the field. Casey Clausen, Alex Walls, Cedric Houston and Michael Munoz are all back this week and appear ready for Saturday.

Coach Fulmer said today that he does expect Walls to kick on Saturday. Trainers and coaches will continue to monitor how his hamstring feels for him, but at this moment he will be kicking for the Vols. Phillip Newman may be the kickoff guy, while Walls handles field goals and extra point attempts.

Munoz has a broken bone in his hand, a banged up shoulder and he is recovering from a major knee surgery. Yet Munoz says he WILl be in the lineup against the Tide. When asked if he has ever been this injured he quipped, "I'm an offensive lineman, that is part of it."

Casey Clausen wasn't able to get a full evaluation today as coaches has hoped. He did practice today and took more reps than he did yesterday. Dr. Bill Yeomans was unable to see Casey today and should get to look him over on Wednesday.

The Vols have been working on the Tide defense and offense very thoroughly the last two days. Coaches have put great emphasis on execution this week. We will all see if they get the results they are hoping for on Saturday evening.
