Lofton is 2nd-team NABC A-A

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (April 5, 2008) – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced today the 2008 State Farm Division I all-America teams at a luncheon during the NABC convention.

Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America.

Tennessee's Chris Lofton was named to the 2008 State Farm Division I All-America Second Team after leading the Vols to a school record 31 wins and a Southeastern Conference championship. A native of Maysville, Ky., Lofton finished his career ranking fourth on UT's career scoring lists with 2,131 points. One of the best shooters the college ranks has ever see, he ranks third in NCAA history with 431 career 3-pointers and his 42.2 3-point percentage is second in Tennessee history only to Allan Houston. A first team All-SEC selection, he also was named a second team All-America by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA).
