Vols tune for scrimmage

Tennessee's third scrimmage in as many weekends is next on the agenda, and head coach Phillip Fulmer has his checklist already prepared.

"I'm interested in seeing us take better care of the football (this Saturday) and seeing if we can run the football a little bit better," Fulmer said after Thursday's two-hour workout at Haslam Field. "I'm interested in seeing if we can challenge the secondary down the field. We really haven't found that out yet because the defense has been quite disruptive.

"Some of that is because we've been inserting and doing a lot of different things, but also because we haven't played as well as we can yet offensively; I know that to be the case. It's a big challenge for the offensive team."

The Vols have only two true practice sessions and two scrimmage dates -- one being the Dish Network Orange and White Game on April 19 -- remaining on the spring schedule.
