Tuesday Afternoon Practice Report

It was very chilly on Haslam Field on Tuesday afternoon. The last time the Vols practiced in the cold, Phillip Fulmer wasn't very pleased with the results. Today that was not the case at all.

"Practice went well," Fulmer said today. "The kids are working hard, in to it, good energy. Coming outside in the cool was good." The news that made Fulmer upbeat may have been in the next sentence out of his mouth.

"Got good news today on Casey. Nothing as far as a fracture or anything like that. We expect to have him out here Wednesday maybe or as late as Thursday." Fulmer did say that his playing status in this weekend's game is still up in the air. When asked about Casey starting he said, " I don't know about that. We will have to see how he does this week."

Michael Munoz returned to practice today. Munoz did not participate in drills, although he did draw the eye of his offensive line coach. At the end of practice, the linemen were running conditioning drills with Johnny Long. Munoz jumped in which prompted Barry to yell and ask Munoz if he was supposed to be doing that. Michael out of breath yelled back, "Of course it is fine coach." Fulmer said he thinks Michael will be ready this weekend.

William Revill sat out practice today. Revill has an injury to his left leg it would appear. His status will not be released until Thursday, but it is does not look too serious.

Willie Miles appears to be back to normal after sustaining a concussion on Saturday against Miami. Miles said he doesn't anticipating missing any time.
