Tinsley chases unique milestone

With a rushing touchdown in one of Tennessee's remaining football games, sophomore tailback Derrick Tinsley will achieve an unusual milestone: He will become the first Vol since Greg Amsler to account for a touchdown rushing, receiving and passing in the same season. Amsler turned the trick in 1989.

Tinsley threw a touchdown pass against Georgia and caught TD passes vs. Florida, Rutgers and Georgia. He has yet to score a rushing touchdown, although he is averaging 4.0 yards per carry in limited play at tailback. He did not carry the ball last Saturday at Mississippi State.

Combining his carries (26 for 104 yards), his receptions (15 for 176 yards) and his kickoff return work (1 for 13 yards), Tinsley is averaging 7.0 yards per touch this season. He has gotten the ball in his hands 42 times and accounted for 293 total yards.
