Walls earns SEC honor

After a rough, injury plagued start to Alex Wall's season, he was awarded today for a solid effort this past Saturday in a win over Vanderbilt.

Vol place-kicker Alex Walls has been tabbed SEC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in last Saturday's 24-0 defeat of Vanderbilt.

Walls, a 6-1, 190-pound senior from Bristol, Va., was three for three on field goal tries. The kicks covered 28, 33 and 38 yards. Since returning from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for three games, Walls is six of six on field goal tries. He currently ranks fourth on UT's all-time scoring list and 14th on the all-time SEC list with 283 points.
