Ed Orgeron is known as one of the top recruiters in the country, and that continued to prove true here Friday evening when the Volunteers picked up their second commitment of the year - this one from Orgeron's old stomping ground in the Bayou.
InsideTennessee.com confirmed with Risean Broussard about the breaking news.
"Yes, sir, I just committed to Tennessee," Broussard said. "I love the coaching staff. I know if I want to play defensive tackle at the next level I can't go wrong going to Tennessee. Coach Orgeron is one of the best defensive line coaches in the country."
"To be coached by Monte Kiffin, Lane Kiffin and Orgeron is too much to pass up," Broussard said. "I love the new excitement the new staff has brought to the program; it just feels like the right decision for me."
Broussard was one of the best defenders at a recent Scout.com combine.
"Broussard just overpowered his opponent on Sunday. He showed great punch, he knocked his man back, and then reached the QB dummy," said Chad Simmons, Southeast Recruiting Expert. "Not only did he impress during the one on ones, but he impressed during the agility drills as well – he showed great lateral movement, he showed good hands, and nice feet. He was one of the best on the defensive line in New Orleans."
