Two Vols have knee surgeries

Chris Walker and Toney Williams underwent arthroscopic surgeries on their left knees Wednesday at UT Medical Center. Drs. Greg Mathien and Russell Betcher of Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic handled the procedures.

"Both of these players will be ready to participate in off-season workouts beginning in June," UT head athletic trainer Jason McVeigh said. "Neither is expected to miss any time during the season."

Walker is a junior defensive end from Memphis who earned the Andy Spiva Award as UT's most improved defensive player during spring drills. Williams was a mid-term freshman enrollee from Alpharetta, Ga., who sparkled at tailback.
