It's back to the Swamp for one former Florida player.

John Brown confirmed with InsideTennessee.com that he has indeed found a new home in the SEC at the University of Tennessee.

"Yes, sir, I'm now a Vol, I have found a home I can be happy at," Brown said. "I get to go back and play in the Swamp again, at least one time."

Brown, a five star defensive tackle out of high school from Lakeland Florida, left the Gator program this spring after having academic issues.

"One of the main reasons I chose the University of Tennessee is their strong academic support system," Brown said. "At UT they have a strong academic repuation and they have a great support system, that's apparently important to me."

Getting the chance to go back to the Swamp is something also intriguing to Brown.

"I love the fact we play Florida every year," Brown said. "Hopefully I can have a big homecoming game there."

Brown is also excited about the direction of the UT Football program under the direction of Lane Kiffin.

"I want to get to the league, Tennessee is the best way for me to get there," Brown said. "I'm going to have to learn how to sing Rocky Top, because we will be singing it a lot over the next couple of years. It's my goal to win a National Championship while in Knoxville."

There is another reason Brown chose the University of Tennessee.

"Coach O is the best defensive line coach in the country and Coach Monte Kiffin is the best Defensive coordinator in the business," Brown said. "Coach O has been recruiting me eversince high school, he hates taking no for an answer, I finally gave him a yes today."
