This week has been an exciting one for Tennessee football recruiting as the Vols began their first camp under new head coach Lane Kiffin. When the Top Preps from around the country arrived in Knoxville, the coaches were not vague on what they expected: excellence.

InsideTennessee.com caught up with one prospect who did not disappoint: Victor Beasley, Outside Linebacker from Adairsville, GA.

During drills, the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder impressed observers with his ability to cover the field of play, and as many of the athletes began to fatigue in the summer sun, Beasley was one of the few who kept a high level of endurance from start to finish.

Have you enjoyed the camp?

"Yes Sir, I've been impressed with the whole experience," replied Beasley. "The coaches were great—especially Coach [Lance] Thompson, the campus was really nice and Neyland Stadium was awesome."

"I've watched games on TV before and know the fans get crazy in there on game days."

As the day progressed, it became apparent that the question regarding a scholarship to UT went from ‘if' to ‘when'.

Coach Kiffin apparently agreed. When he handed out the awards, Beasley was recognized for his effort and took home ‘Best Linebacker' for the 2010 group.

So far he has received offers from Duke, Auburn, Clemson, East(ern)? Carolina, Louisville, Stanford, and Clemson. Though he declined to name a favorite yet, the Auburn Tigers may have an inside track to Beasley since it's his father's alma mater.

InsideTennessee.com will keep you up to date on Beasley's recruitment.
