It's summer time and things are starting to heat up, especially for one Tennessee High School Football prospect.
"I got verbal offers from Tennessee and Ole Miss," Brunetti told InsideTennessee.com Monday. "I was very surprised by the Tennessee offer but excited at the same time."
Brunetti attended the Volunteer Skill Camp on Tuesday and picked up the verbal offer later in the weekend.
"I haven't got the papers in the mail yet, but Coach Orgeron told me it was coming," Brunetti said. "Same thing with Houston Nutt, he told me that I should get the written offer by the end of the week."
Brunetti just returned from the Ole Miss camp late Sunday night, where he apparently impressed the Rebel coaching staff.
Two camps in a week and two new verbal offers proves to Brunetti he did the right thing by going to both camps.
"I wasn't sure about Tennessee, I didn't think I fitted their system very well," Brunetti said. "I had a great camp and they were very impressed with my performance. I have always liked Tennessee a lot, it's kind of been a dream of mine to play for the Vols."
Brunetti feels that his camp circuit may be over with.
"Right now we aren't planning on going to anymore camps this summer, but you never know," Brunetti said. "My dad and I are going to take unofficial visits to West Virginia and Penn State later this week."
Three schools had offered previously to this past week, those include West Virginia, Penn State and Mississippi State, now there are two more pieces to the puzzle to consider.
"The offer from Tennessee is huge," Brunetti said. "I really loved the Vols camp. It was so high energy. We competed from the time we got there to the time we left. It was very intense."
Brunetti also enjoyed the Ole Miss Camp a lot.
"We competed a lot there to," Brunetti said. "We competed for at least four hours out of the time we were there, it was a little more laid back."
One thing that Brunetti will admit is a close relationship with Tennessee's Memphis recruiter Ed Orgeron.
"Coach O and I go way back," Brunetti said. "I met him while he was the head coach at Ole Miss. We have developed a great relationship. He is a great coach, but there are a lot of great coaches at Tennessee. They have one of the most talented coaching staffs I have seen."
He also likes another SEC coach a lot.
"Houston Nutt is great," Brunetti said. "The Ole Miss fan base really treats all it's players like family, it's a great atmosphere and it's only a hour from home."
Brunetti may make a decision in the next few weeks after he returns from his East Coast trip.
