Each day this week we will release five positions, go the Rocky Top Forum to give us your thoughts of the rankings. is proud to announce the First Annual Rocky Top High School Top 20 High School Prospects.

Our staff have experts have logged a lot of hours evaluating film and watching local talent in person before determining these ratings. We will release a Pre-Season Top 20 and a Post Season Top 20 after the conclusion of the 2009 season.

These ratings aren't the official state rankings of and are solely the opinion of the Recruiting Staff.

We will release No. 20-16 on Tuesday, No.15-11 on Wednesday, 10-6 on Thursday and No. 1-5 on Friday.

Congratulations to all these young men and wishes each and everyone of them the best of luck in the upcoming season. We will also be following up our rankings with a profile on each of the honorees.

No. 20 Bo Wallace- QB- Giles County High School

Wallace, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound athlete who runs a 4.64 forty, threw for over 1.300 yards last fall and rushed for another 1,200 yards. He currently has an offer from UT Martin. Wallace turned in a good performance at the Tennessee camp two weeks ago. He showed good mechanics and had a solid day throwing the football.

No. 19 Matt Gooch- WR Siegel High School Murfreesboro TN

Gooch is a 6-foot-2, 175-wide out . Known for his good hands and good speed. He currently holds an offer from Middle Tennessee University.

No. 18. Dezmond Johnson DE- Overton Comp High School Nashville TN

Johnson is a 6-foot-5, 210 pound defensive end and is a dual sport athlete who also excels in basketball. Johnson currently have offers from Duke, Middle Tennessee and Ole Miss. He has a good athletic frame with a great upside and room for growth. He is rated a three star prospect by

No. 17. Eric Watson-RB-Melrose High School-Memphis TN

Watson is a 5-foot-10, 210 pound running back who has good size and good speed. He rushed for 1054 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore at Christian Brothers High School.

No. 16. Tyler Robinson-TE/DE-Alcoa High School-Alcoa TN

Robinson is a 6-foot-3, 225-pound athlete that excels on both sides of the football. He currently holds offers from Kentucky and Virginia Tech.
