Lane Kiffin picked up his 11th commitment for his 2010 recruiting class late Monday night when South Carolina lineman Marquis Pair chose the Vols over several other opportunities.
InsideTennessee.com confirmed with Marquis' father Steven Tuesday morning that his son has indeed become a Volunteer.
"We are very excited about his decision," Mr. Pair said. "It's the right decision for him. He loved his two trips to Knoxville."
Pair, a 6-foot-6, 280-pound athlete, chose UT over Auburn, according to his father.
"It was down to Tennessee and Auburn," Mr. Pair said. "Tennessee was a much better fit for him. He felt at home there."
According to Mr. Pair one of the key factors to his decision had to do with Vol assistant coach David Reaves.
"Coach Reaves has been recruiting Marquis for a long time," Mr. Pair said. "Coach Reaves is like family, Marquis really trust and respects him a lot."
Marquis is currently out of town and was unable to be reached. We at InsideTennessee.com will bring you a more in depth feature story on the Vols second offensive lineman commitment later this week.
