Tennessee basketball players continued their explosive scoring as the Rocky Top League concluded regular-season play Wednesday night at Knoxville's Bearden High Gym.

Vol sophomore Scotty Hopson gunned in 33 points in leading The News Sentinel to a 118-117 defeat of Ray's ESG, putting his team in tonight's RTL championship game. Ex-Vol Dane Bradshaw added 20 points and 11 assists. Former Vols Jon Higgins (27 points) and C.J. Watson (25) were the leading scorers for Ray's.

Vol senior Bobby Maze lit up the scoreboard, scoring 47 points in First Tennessee's 127-122 defeat of HT Group. Vol sophomore Emmanuel Negedu added 23 points and ex-Vol Rashard Lee 19. Vol senior Wayne Chism was dynamic in defeat, hitting 15 of 19 shots en route to 35 points.

Two more UT seniors, Tyler Smith (27) and Josh Tabb (25) shared the scoring load as Richardson Construction tapped Choice Spine 120-106. Vol sophomore Cameron Tatum pumped in 30 points to pace the losing cause.

Rocky Top action concludes tonight with two games scheduled. Ray's (3-3) and Richardson Construction (3-3) meet for third place at 6, then The News Sentinel (5-1) and HT Group (4-2) collide for the title at 7:30.
