Recruiting is normally slow during the summer months, especially for junior college prospects.
This isn't the case for Fullerton offensive lineman John Cullen.
The talented lineman has several offers and after an unofficial visit to one college recently, he has a new favorite.
"Right now my top three in order are Utah, Tennessee and Auburn," Cullen told InsideTennessee.com Tuesday night. "My recent trip to Utah put them out in front, before that visit I didn't have an early leader."
Cullen has already made plans to take an official visit to Knoxville; he plans on attending the Volunteers game with Georgia on October 10.
"I'm hearing so many great things about the Tennessee Football program," Cullen said. "I can't wait to get there and see everything first hand."
Cullen, who started 10 games for Fullerton last fall, earned all conference honors as a freshman. He is currently listed at 6-foot-6, 285-pounds.
According to Cullen, it's his quickness and strength that has impressed the college scouts.
"I recently ran a 4.9 forty," Cullen said. "The college coaches like my speed and quickness off the ball."
One thing that has intrigued Cullen about Tennessee is the fact of how important football is in the south.
"I understand the fans get really, really crazy there," Cullen said. "They love their football. To play in front of 110,000 fans would be amazing."
Cullen is on track to graduate in December.
