One North Carolina defensive lineman may be close to making a decision.

InsideTennessee.com confirmed with Weddington High School defensive tackle Darius Kilgo Friday that he will be making an unofficial visit to Knoxville this upcoming Sunday.

Could a decision be forth coming? When asked about his time frame of making a decision, the standout defender had this to say.

"If I enjoy my trip to Tennessee Sunday, I probably will make my decision on the spot," Kilgo admitted. "I have been talking to Coach (Ed) Orgeron and Coach (Lane) Kiffin a lot. Coach O has coached in the league; I feel I would be well coached if I decide to go there."

Kilgo, a 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive tackle who runs the forty yard dash in 5.0 seconds, finished his junior season with 75 tackles and eight sacks last fall.

"I'm definitely going to Knoxville this Sunday," Kilgo said. "I'm excited about taking the trip. I have heard so many great things about the campus and their fan support."

Kilgo has already taken unofficial visits to Duke, South Carolina and Clemson. He currently holds official offers from Tennessee, South Carolina, Maryland, Illinois, Michigan State and East Carolina.

Kilgo is being recruited to play defensive tackle for the Vols.

InsideTennessee.com will stay on top of the situation and will do a follow up interview with Kilgo following his visit to Knoxville.
