Two grid signees already enrolled

Two of Tennessee's 2003 football signees -- Jon Poe and Steven Jones -- have enrolled and begun classes at the university.

Poe transferred following graduation from Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College while Jones joined the Vols after graduating from Brentwood High School. The players will participate in spring drills beginning March 6.

Steven Jones- Lineman, 6-6, 291 Brentwood (Brentwood) Considered one of the top prospects in Tennessee for the class of 2003...Ranked as the No. 11 player nationally on the line by Rivals.com and the No. 4 player in the state...Named first-team All-Midstate at defensive line by The Tennessean...Had 68 tackles and three fumble recoveries for Brentwood High School team that won the Tennessee 5A state championship with a 10-7 victory over Murfreesboro Riverdale...Victory capped string of 14 consecutive wins after season opening loss...Also added six sacks and eight tackles for loss...As a junior, registered six sacks and more than 80 tackles...Son of nine-year NFL veteran Mike Jones, who finished his career with the Tennessee Titans and played college football for North Carolina State...Brentwood HS coach: Eddie Lambert.
