Kesling is top sportscaster

Bob Kesling is four-for-four.

Kesling, Director of Broadcastingin the University of Tennessee Athletics Department, has been selected the Tennessee Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. It is his fourth selection in four years with the Vols.

In addition to his play-by-play duties for the Vol Network on basketball and football games, Kesling hosts the Buzz Peterson and Phillip Fulmer television shows, along with Vol Calls, a weekly radio call-in program. He also calls NCAA Basketball Tournament games for Westwood One/CBS Radio.

Columnist David Climer of The Tennessean was named the Tennessee Sportswriter of the Year by the NSSA.

Kesling and Climer will join national winners Joe Buck and Rick Reilly, along with Hall of Fame inductees Bob Wolff and Will McDonough, at the NSSA's annual Awards Program April 26-28 in Salisbury, N.C.
