Tennessee has already garnered 16 pledges from some of the top talent in the country.
Scout.com has the Volunteers with 7 four star prospects and one five star, having the highest rating of any recruiting service thus far.
Who will be the next five commitments for Tennessee?
How many prospects will the Vols attempt to sign, will they over sign to make sure to have all their bases covered? This writer is going to give his thoughts and opinions on the remaining spots for the Vols 2010 recruiting class.
The next five could come from these prospects.
Quarterback Tyler Bray will take his official visit for the Western Kentucky game, a decision could come shortly afterwards.
Defensive back Victory Hampton apparently is decommitting from Florida and I expect him to become a Volunteer.
Athlete/Wide receiver Demarco Cobbs appears close to pulling the trigger. We have known for sometime that UT was Cobbs first choice, despite what other sites have written.
Junior College offensive lineman John Cullen has Auburn and Tennessee high on his list. He will take an official visit to Rocky Top. He has already seen Auburn and the Tigers may have the current lead. It won't last, they don't call Auburn the Plains just for the heck of it. He will love Knoxville and the surrounding area a lot better.
Running back Michael Dyer may shock the world when he ends up signing with UT. I have said all a long that he would be a tough pull from Arkansas, which might not be the case. It appears that Auburn and Tennessee is in his top two. Ed Orgeron and the Vols will win this one. Lane Kiffin's offense is the perfect fit for Dyer.
Offensive lineman Damien Robinson from Olive Branch Mississippi apparently likes the Vols; don't be surprised on this one.
Offensive lineman James Stone will end up being a Vol. Despite what others are saying or what you might think?
Linebacker Zachary Allen from Pahokee Florida is currently committed to Wake Forest, don't be surprised but this won't be the only Pahokee prospect that is committed elsewhere that ends up at Rocky Top.
Linebacker Khairi Fortt is another prospect that would fit in to the Monte Kiffin defensive plan really well.
Defensive back Dietrich Riley likes the Vols a lot. It will be tough to get him to travel east, but don't count him out just yet.
Let me leave the best one for last. Ok does anyone have any Gator repellant, I may need some after this one? Something tells me that Chris Dunkley of Pahokee will end up joining his ole buddy NuKeese at Rocky Top. If the Vols pull three prospects from this school, Eddie Gran will deserve a raise.
