IT picks the SEC

There are four intriguing match-ups on this week's SEC football schedule - Georgia visiting Arkansas, West Virginia visiting Auburn, Tennessee visiting Florida and Mississippi State visiting Vanderbilt.

InsideTennessee.com analysts James Bryant and Randy Moore will be offering their predictions on all nine SEC games this weekend. James went 5-1 last week, hitting all of his SEC picks except Tennessee's loss to UCLA. Randy went 4-2, missing on Tennessee and the South Carolina loss at Georgia. Guest picker Dave Hooker of The Knoxville News-Sentinel and GoVolsXtra.com, like James, went 5-1 last week due to the Vols' upset loss.

For the season Randy stands 16-2, James 15-3 and Dave 15-3.

Here are their picks for this weekend:

Randy's picks

NORTH TEXAS AT ALABAMA: The Mean Green could be flat after a 31-30 double-overtime loss to Ohio U ... not that it's going to matter. Bama 41, North Texas 17

GEORGIA AT ARKANSAS: The Dawgs were dominated by Oklahoma State in Game 1 and outplayed by South Carolina in Game 2. They've shown me nothing so far. Arkansas 31, Georgia 27

WEST VIRGINIA AT AUBURN: Gus Malzahn has worked miracles with the Tigers' offense in his first year on The Plains. I'm a believer. Auburn 34, West Virginia 27

TENNESSEE AT FLORIDA: Do you wonder what the Vol defense could do if it got some help from the offense? We won't find out this week. Florida 38, Tennessee 10

LOUISVILLE AT KENTUCKY: Having rested up after their taxing Game 1 blowout of Miami (Ohio), the Cats should have enough firepower to pluck the Cardinals. Kentucky 27, Louisville 17

LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE AT LSU: The Tigers also play Louisiana Tech and Tulane this year. Nothing like keeping the money in-state, huh? LSU 31, Louisiana-Lafayette 7

SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AT OLE MISS: The Rebels had an open date last weekend and this game is the next-best-thing. Ole Miss 38, Southeastern Louisiana 7

MISSISSIPPI STATE AT VANDERBILT: They're perennial SEC cellar-dwellers but these two may well provide the most entertaining contest on this weekend's league schedule. Vandy 27, Mississippi State 24

FLORIDA ATLANTIC AT SOUTH CAROLINA: The Owls are coming off an open date but they lost 49-3 to Nebraska in Game 1, so I'm guessing the added rest won't help a whole lot against the Gamecocks. South Carolina 41, Florida Atlantic 7

James' picks

NORTH TEXAS AT ALABAMA: Alabama will win this easily, 38-17

GEORGIA AT ARKANSAS: Bobby P needs to win this one to show his team is back, Georgia needs to win this one to remain in things. Arkansas 28-24 over Georgia.

WEST VIRGINIA AT AUBURN: This is a big test for the new Auburn coaching staff, Auburn wins at home 31-28

TENNESSEE AT FLORIDA: This one should be interesting, Will Meyer try to run up the score, Florida should win it, I hope the score will be closer than many think 38-24.

LOUISVILLE AT KENTUCKY: Kentucky has grown up a lot, Louisville has gone the other way. Wildcats win this one 31-17.

LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE AT LSU: After Washington LSU needs an easy one, Cajuns will win this one one way or the other, LSU 45-31

SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AT OLE MISS: Ole Miss 52-14

MISSISSIPPI STATE AT VANDERBILT: Vandy should win this one, MSU still doesn't have the talent to compete 31-28.

FLORIDA ATLANTIC AT SOUTH CAROLINA: The Ole Ball coach got him a cup cake, 45-17 South Carolina

Dave's picks

NORTH TEXAS AT ALABAMA: The Tide will roll - and get some key players healthy - in this exhibition game. 42-10

GEORGIA AT ARKANSAS: Too much going on in Athens with key injuries and tough games, Arkansas in an upset. 28-20

WEST VIRGINIA AT AUBURN: Home field advantage will help. Coaching will be the difference. 30-20

TENNESSEE AT FLORIDA: Gators are way, way too good. 48-13

LOUISVILLE AT KENTUCKY: Wildcats are tougher. Man, that sounds weird. 24-14

LOUISIANA-LAFAYETTE AT LSU: Uh, Tigers. 52-10

SOUTHEASTERN LOUISIANA AT OLE MISS: The Rebels are way too talented to lose this game. 34-10

MISSISSIPPI STATE AT VANDERBILT: Yes - The battle for the best of the bottom feeders goes to the Commodores. 24-23

FLORIDA ATLANTIC AT SOUTH CAROLINA: South Carolina is starting to feel good about themselves. That continues this week. 35-10
