UT-Bama kickoff set for 2:30 CST

The Southeastern Conference announced Monday that Tennessee's Oct. 24 visit to Alabama is being televised by CBS and kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Central time. The Vols also appeared on CBS earlier this season at Florida.

UT trails the series against the Crimson Tide 46-38-7, but the teams are 4-4 in Tuscaloosa. Tennessee has lost two straight games against Alabama after defeating its border-state rival 10 times in a 12-game span from 1995-2006. Former Tide assistant coach Lance Thompson now handles the UT linebackers.

Other games being televised that weekend involving SEC teams are Arkansas at Mississippi on the SEC Network (11:21 a.m. Central), Vanderbilt at South Carolina on ESPNU (7 p.m. Eastern) and Louisiana-Monroe at Kentucky on Fox Sports Net (7 p.m. Eastern). ESPN and ESPN2 are announcing selections between Auburn at LSU and Florida at Mississippi State after this weekend's games.
