Message boards are fun, but one thing football fans need to realize is that rumors are exactly that - just rumors.

InsideTennessee.com dispelled one recent rumor when they contacted California Junior College offensive lineman John Cullen.

Some feel that Cullen may be a solid lock to Utah; apparently that's not the case.

"Tennessee is still out front as my favorite," Cullen said Wednesday. "I had a great visit there; it's a place I like a lot."

Is Cullen close to making a decision?

"Maybe, I have been thinking about it," Cullen admitted. "I will probably take some more visits before making a final decision."

The talented offensive lineman still plans on taking official visits to Auburn, Utah and perhaps Miami.

"I couldn't have asked for my trip to be any better at Tennessee," Cullen said. "The other schools have a lot of ground to make up if they are going to overtake the Vols. Tennessee is definitely my top school right now."

Another thing that stood out to Cullen was the Tennessee coaching staff.

"It's true, they have the best coaching staff in the country," Cullen explained. "I got to spend a lot of time with Coach James Cregg; I love the way he coaches and his approach with his players. The Vols offensive system is a perfect fit for me."

Cullen, a 6-foot-7 290-pound athlete, will graduate in May.
