"It was a great trip," Adams told InsideTennessee.com. "I liked everything about the school. I loved the atmosphere of the game. I really liked the black jerseys."
According to Adams, the Volunteer coaching staff made it no secret how important he was to this recruiting class.
"They told me that I was their No. 1 tight end on their board," Adams said. "They told me I was a must-have player for this class for them. It makes me feel good to know how important I am to their program and coaches."
Adams was impressed with the current players on the team and the Vol coaching staff.
"Coach Frank (Wilson) has been recruiting me since the spring," Adams said. "He is a great coach. Everything he has told me he has been very true to his word. I like him a lot. I trust him a lot."
Adams' host for the weekend was Rico McCoy.
"Everyone on this team is very real," Adams said. "They are a great bunch of guys. They are really playing hard right now; you can tell this program is headed in the right direction."
Did his Rocky Top experience meet his expectations?
"It was a lot better than I expected it to be," Adams said. "There wasn't anything I didn't like about the trip or the school. I can't wait to get up there and help this team accomplish great things."
Adams is hoping to graduate this December and be able to enroll in January at Tennessee.
