At one time Dixon was committed to the University of Texas, and since then he has committed to his home town school, Baylor University.
Now the question is how committed is Dixon to the Bears?
"I would consider my commitment to Baylor as a soft one," Dixon told InsideTennessee.com on Tuesday evening. "I'm re-opening my recruitment. I have let the Baylor coaches know that I'm looking at other options."
There is one option that appears to top Dixon's wish list.
"Tennessee is at the top of my list right now after my official visit there," Dixon explained. "I like them a lot. My parents and I were supposed to take another visit to Knoxville this weekend, but due to the playoffs we have to postpone the trip until after the playoffs."
Dixon was truly impressed with his Rocky Top experience.
"All the great people there are incredible," Dixon said. "The game day atmosphere was unbelievable. I have never seen anything like it. Tennessee is a good fit for me."
Dixon also got to meet one of the Vols future NFL players.
"I got to spend a lot of time with the great Eric Berry," Dixon said. "He is such a great person and a great player. I would love to follow Berry at UT. I like my chances of going to UT and playing for those great defensive gurus in Knoxville."
Dixon is ranked as a five-star safety by Scout.com and is rated as the No. 3 safety in the nation.
