Tennessee gets 86-72 win over TCU

Texas Christian gave the Lady Vols some resistance on Tuesday night, but the end result was the same as most SEC teams have received from Tennessee; a loss.

Despite rushing out to an early 11-0 lead, the Lady Vols were challenged throughout the game by a pesky TCU club but eventually ran their winning streak to 12 games by beating TCU 86-72 in Thompson-Boling Arena on Tuesday evening.

Tennessee improved to 20-3 (9-0 SEC)following the win, while TCU fell to 10-12 (3-5 C-USA).

Kara Lawson's first two shots were successful three-point baskets en route to a 20-point night.

Lawson also led the team with seven assists. Tasha Butts athleticism gave TCU fits inside as the junior forward notched a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

Tennessee shot 45% from the floor for the game while TCU shot 44%. Tennessee also forced 22 turnovers.
