It's been a crazy week for Tennessee commitments.

Four-star defensive tackle John Brown is glad that Tennessee has made a hire and is looking forward to meeting new coach Derek Dooley.

"I don't know a lot about him, but I'm looking forward to getting to know him," Brown said. "This week been crazy, I was shocked by Lane Kiffin leaving."

Brown has been uncertain on how to handle his commitment status, but has decided to keep his commitment to the Vols for now.

"I have been talking to my junior college coaches a lot, they have advised me to keep the commitment and give the new coach a chance. I like Tennessee a lot; I want to play in the SEC."

Brown looks forward to hearing from the new coaches.

"I'm glad they got a coach this quick, that's good," Brown said. "Now I will get a chance to see what he is all about. I'm committed to Tennessee right now."

Brown, a former Florida Gator, is rated a four-star prospect by Scout.com.
