Four ex-Vols in Super Bowl

Tennessee's streak of 17 consecutive seasons with a player in the Super Bowl ended last year when neither the Pittsburgh Steelers nor Arizona Cardinals had a former Vol in uniform. This year, UT has started another streak with four representatives set to appear Feb. 7 in Miami.

Cornerback Jabari Greer, wide receiver Robert Meachem and linebacker Marvin Mitchell are wearing the colors of the New Orleans Saints, while Peyton Manning is guiding the Indianapolis Colts from the quarterback position. Tennessee will have had a former player in the Super Bowl for 18 of the last 19, 21 of the last 23 and 32 of the overall 44 Super Bowls.

UT's streak of 17 consecutive seasons with a player in the Super Bowl is an SEC high, according to league figures. See the chart below.
