For one Knoxville Catholic High School prospect one offer came today that he wasn't sure would ever arrive.
Kyler Kerbyson has grown up rooting for his home town Volunteers, the idea of getting an official from them is something it wasn't sure would ever happen.
"It's really great," Kerbyson told InsideTennessee.com Tuesday evening. "One of my coaches told me that I needed to call this number, it was Coach Dooley on the other end, giving me the official offer."
Does this mean that recruiting is over for the Knoxville native?
"No sir," Kerbyson said. "I'm going to see which schools offer me, make a list and narrow down my favorites. Tennessee will most likely be on of my top favorites, I just haven't decided on them yet. I want to see which school is the best fit for me."
It's no secret that the Tennessee Volunteers are in need of some "Big" help on the offensive line, Kerbyson could answer that need. At 6-foot-5, 290-pounds, the talented offensive lineman is apparently a priority for the Vols recruiting efforts.
"My parents are extremely happy," Kerbyson said. "All my friends have been calling me and congratulating me."
Now Kerbyson has a chance to stay at home and play for his hometown team, only time will tell if that is what happens for the Knoxville native.
Kerbyson will be attending Junior Day at UT this upcoming weekend.
