One of Tennessee's top offensive linemen got the chance to check out Rocky Top first hand during UT's Junior Day Saturday.
Cody Robinson, who wasn't certain he was going to receive an invitation to the one day event, got the news late Friday afternoon from his high school that he indeed was going to get take in Derek Dooley's first Junior Day activity at Tennessee.
"It was a good experience, I was really impressed," Robinson told InsideTennessee.com. "Coach Dooley and the entire staff are classy guys."
Robinson's father Ray played for the Volunteers and Cody has grown up in Orange and White his entire life.
Did Tennessee offer Robinson on Saturday?
"No I didn't get an offer from them yet, they seem close," Robinson said. "I hope to get one in the near future."
Robinson did pick up his first official offer this week, when former Tennessee coach David Cutcliffe and staff extended him an offer.
"Duke offered me this week," Robinson said. "It's great to get that first offer, hopefully more will follow."
Robinson enjoyed his experience Saturday and learned a lot more about the program he grew up cheering for.
"I have been a Vol fan all my life," Robinson said. "It was great to get a chance to see it from the inside and how everything works. It's a great place and a place I definitely could see myself at."
