One Louisiana defensive tackle didn't know what to say when he received his sixth official offer and his third SEC offer Tuesday.

Monroe Neville High School defensive tackle DeMarcus Hodge picked up his biggest offer of the spring season today when Tennessee extended the official offer.

"I was speechless," Hodge told InsideTennessee.com Tuesday night. "It felt great; it's by far one of my biggest offers so far."

Hodge, a 6-foot-1, 298-pound defensive tackle, currently has offers from Louisiana Tech, Tulane, Mississippi State, Memphis, Arkansas and now Tennessee.

"Coach (Terry) Joseph called my high school coach today and my coach gave me the good news," Hodge said. "Tennessee is definitely up there as one of my top favorites."

Will Hodge make a quick decision?

"I won't rush it," Hodge stated. "I will probably wait until mid season of my senior year before making a final decision. I want to make sure I make the right choice."

Hodge led his Neville High School team to a 13-1 record enroute to a state championship.

"I'm excited about the Tennessee offer," Hodge said again. "I can't wait to take a trip to the campus and check out things first hand. I will definitely make a trip to Knoxville."
